What does it take to host a District Day Camp - especially with a district the size of Porter Rockwell District?

Well, it begins with a PLAN for lots and lots of busy, hands-on fun things for young hands to do:

  And along with the plan, you've just got to have supplies. Lots and lots of SUPPLIES:

Add to the mix, BOYS and LEADERS and STAFF MEMBERS and a whole lot of FUN ACTIVITIES! AND YOU HAVE A SURE FIRE FORMULA FOR A GREAT DAY CAMP EXPERIENCE START TO FINISH!

 SUCCESS! - A DAY FOR THE BOYS TO REMEMBER

 SUCCESS! - A DAY TO LEARN NEW SKILLS

 SUCCESS! - A TIME TO BE ACTIVE

   AND SUCCESS! - A TIME TO BE IN AWE! 

Thank you,  Kirsten Johnson for leading the District through another very Successful Day Camp for it's Cub Scouts!  No one could count the number of hours put in by you and your staff to make this experience what it was!  Thank you to every person who served on staff, and to your families for the sacrifices they made that allowed you to give this service to the community.   Thank You all for your skills and your energy and your commitment.   You are what makes Cub Scouting work for the boys in our Porter Rockwell District!   THANK YOU! 

Arrow of Light Updates

Check out the new page on the page list above for the most current information concerning the District 'Arrow of Light' ceremonies presented by the Order of the Arrow (OA).   This is a great opportunity for your boys to receive special recognition for their achievements.

Hold On.....This site needs a little updating!!!!

Ok, people, don't give up on us.  It has been brought to our attention that since the changing of the guard last fall, we have not had access to this blog to add or take away, delete or keep it going.

Well, access has been acquired (yay!).  Over the next several weeks, we will make an effort to get it up and going again!  And you should be able to come here to find handouts from Roundtable, announcements about things like Day Camp, etc., etc.   Keep watching for it!
